Lately, I’ve been bummed that the SDK announcement underwhelmed, handcuffing would-be developers with restrictions that make apps significantly less functional than expected. As a user, I want more apps that do more.
And then a couple nights ago, I got a reminder of how sweet the iPhone really is.
I was at Nicholas Restaurant, a great place [...]
I guess we’ll see. Steve Jobs joined Mix on Wednesday. No kidding, here’s his profile.
Is it the man himself? Or perhaps Dan Lyons in character? Maybe some dude named Steve Jobs who is neither the founder and CEO of Apple nor the editor guy at Forbes who used to be funny and currently is just [...]

Apple is killing me lately. I’m no fanboy by any means, but over the past few years, I’ve been pleased to see their rise from the ashes. A decade ago, I graduated from a Mac college into a world of Windows 3.11 and 95.

I broke down and bought one for my wife, a longtime smartphone user, to replace her Treo 680, which isn’t very old. Palm has already released a couple newer Treos, so even at less than a year old, that little guy was a relic.
Leading up to June 29, I got more and more sick [...]
